Fire Safety Presentation

Today we had a wonderful and informative presentation regarding fire safety.

Our kindergartens learned what to do if they are ever around a fire.

We learned:

1. To crawl underneath the smoke where the air is clearer and cooler.
2. To NEVER hide from a fire fighter.
3. The alarm signals that there might be a fire and to get to a safe place.
4. To STOP, DROP and ROLL if your clothes catch fire.
5. 911 is the number to call if you detect a fire.

At home, it might be a good idea to talk to your child about the different locations you can exit your house. You should also pick a place outside your home as the designated spot to meet if your house ever catches on fire and you need to evacuate.

If there's smoke, crawl UNDER it.

STOP, DROP AND ROLL if your clothes catch fire. Make sure to cover your face.

Mme. Vadeboncoeur was our "volunteer" firefighter.
